1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They help websites remember things about you, like whether you're logged in or what referral link you came from.

We use a small number of cookies, mostly the kind required to make the service work.

2. Cookies we use

Essential cookies (required for the service to work):

  • Supabase authentication cookies: keep you signed in to your VibeLaunch account. Without these, you'd have to log in every time you load a page.
  • Cloudflare functionality cookies: help with security, load balancing, and basic site functionality.

These are essential. If you block them, VibeLaunch won't work properly.

Functional cookies:

  • vl_ref (referral tracking): if you arrived at VibeLaunch through a referral link, we set this cookie to remember the referrer. It helps us credit referrals correctly. The cookie typically lasts 30 days.

Analytics:

  • Cloudflare request and security logs: as part of hosting on Cloudflare, basic request and security logs are generated automatically. These are aggregate/operational, not used for behavioral tracking or advertising.
  • PostHog: we use EU-hosted PostHog product analytics and session replay to understand how people use VibeLaunch and improve usability. PostHog may use cookies or local storage to recognize a browser session. Session recordings are configured to mask input contents, including text fields and passwords, so we can study product flow without recording what you type.

3. What we don't use

To be clear, we do not use:

  • Third-party advertising cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.)
  • Cross-site advertising or retargeting tags
  • Marketing automation cookies unrelated to account or service communications
  • Google Analytics

We do use a third-party product analytics tool, PostHog, for product analytics and masked session replay (described in section 2). We do not use PostHog for advertising, cross-site ad profiling, or retargeting.

We may add tools in the future. If we do, we'll update this notice and ask for consent where required.

4. How to control cookies

You can control cookies in a few ways:

Through your browser:

  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings
  • Look for "Privacy," "Cookies," or "Site Data" in your browser settings
  • Note: blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and core features

Through your device:

  • Mobile devices have similar cookie controls in their browser apps

Through VibeLaunch:

  • You can delete your VibeLaunch account at any time, which clears related data

For users in regions requiring cookie consent (like the EU):

  • We aim to make essential cookies clearly distinct from optional ones
  • You can opt out of non-essential cookies where applicable
  • Our essential cookies generally do not require consent under most privacy laws because they're strictly necessary for the service you requested

5. Changes to this notice

If we add new cookies or change how existing ones work, we'll update this notice and the "Last updated" date.
